The hospital started as a 4-bed clinic in a rented house.<\/p>\n

The present 25-bed hospital was completed in May, 1990.<\/p>\n

SERVICES RENDERED<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n

The hospital provides 24 hours\/day, 7- days -a -week out-patient and in-patient services. Over 300,000 patients have been registered for treatment in the hospital since inception. The hospital sees about 400 outpatients every week.<\/p>\n

We handle patients from mainly Plateau, Nassarawa and Taraba states.<\/p>\n

The hospital renders medical, surgical, paediatric, O & G, immunization, ENT, reproductive health, laboratory, radiographic, ultrasonographic and other medical\/health services.<\/p>\n

Wards include 1 maternity ward, 2 amenity wards, 1 children\u2019s ward, 1 male ward, and 5 general wards.<\/p>\n

STAFFING<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n

The hospital has since inception has employed hundreds of workers, including doctors, nurses, laboratory scientists, ward attendants, receptionists, etc.<\/p>\n

The present professional staff comprise of:<\/p>\n

4 doctors<\/p>\n

5 staff nurses\/midwives<\/p>\n

5 community health workers<\/p>\n

6 attendants<\/p>\n

5 medical records officers<\/p>\n

1 laboratory scientist<\/p>\n

4 laboratory technicians<\/p>\n

2 X-ray Technicians<\/p>\n

OTHER ACTIVITIES OF OUR HOSPITAL<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n

  1. Our doctors and nurses undergo frequent training from agencies to which we have attachment for rendering of free services. The agencies include APIN (HIV\/AIDS), LTR (TB), SHOPS(Family Planning).<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    1. The hospital has monthly staff seminars at which we have Powerpoint academic presentations for in-house continuing professional training.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
